Steve Piazza -- Owner, DogsNSuds
Hi, my name is Steve Piazza . I have been around dogs and animals all my life and I have been a K9 professional for a little over 13 years, I became a certified professional dog trainer working with Stephanie Taunton, owner of Bow Wow Productions and I also hold certifications to run group and private lessons of all levels from Animal Behavior and Training. I have extensive experience in Agility, Group, Private, Aggression and Socialization classes. I am currently a member of IACP (International Association of Canine Professionals) and currently I am working on getting additional certifications with IACP. I volunteer my extra time at the local shelter where my knowledge and experience allows me to give something back to some unfortunate animals that are down on there luck. One of the most rewarding parts of working with people and their companions is the sense of gratification I see on people's faces as we work through complications that are causing hardship and the life long bond that is formed between the owner and their K9 companions as their relationships blossom. There simply is nothing like it in the world.
Jenifer Carter -- Owner, DogsNSuds
M y name is Jenifer and I am responsible for helping clients with training, grooming, and education. Knowledge is power when it comes to working with dogs. I believe that all dogs, like people, are different and each one will require something different when training, socializing and problem solving with behavior. Because there is so much information out there for owners to obtain, we hope to teach you how to implement techniques and adopt structure that will work for your every day life. I have been training dogs for 14 years and have certifications from two previous companies. I am a member if IACP where I am currently working on my Certified D og Trainer certificate. I love this job because of the rewards I get in helping people achieve their dog training goals. You can always teach a dog and a human something new! I look forward to working with you.

I have been training professionally for 6 years now. I also work at a veterinary clinic as a registered veterinary technician. I have trained dogs for production work, conformation, agility, and obedience. I teach group lessons as well as private and in-home training. I enjoy working with dogs that have behavioral issues. It is very rewarding to see undesirable dogs reform into manageable companions. I also help owners train their dogs to be service dogs. I regularly attend training seminars and read up on the newest techniques. I volunteered as a foster home, trainer and evaluator for a rescue for 4 years. I worked a boarding kennel for 4 years, where I learned most of my training and behavioral knowledge. I have worked with many different breeds and temperaments. I have two dogs of my own, a Rottweiler mix and a pit bull mix.

M y love for dogs began as a child with my first dog (a Cocker Spaniel). I have been around animal's ever since. Dogs have always been a big part of my life and are truly where my passion lies. Prior to becoming a dog trainer, I took my own dogs to obedience classes where I found a love of dog training. I decided wanted to gain more experience in dog training so in 2005 I began volunteering at the Peninsula Humane Society working in their dog obedience classes. In 2007 I was hired by DogsNSuds as one of their trainers. I am a strong believer in continuing education and attends seminars and workshops with renowned trainers and lecturers like Dr. Ian D unbar (Good Little Dog Book and How to Teach a New Dog Old Tricks), Pat Miller (Power of Positive Dog Training) and Peter Pay (Need to Know Training). I am a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers APDT and am certified in Pet First Aid. M y goal is to obtain a Certified Pet Dog Trainer (CPDT) designation. Me and my husband, Larry share our lives with one dog, Rockie (a Rottweiler mix), 6 cats, 2 frogs and a turtle.

Hi, I'm Karen Rochin. Sitting nicely beside me, is my wonderful Dalmatian, Ashley . This picture was taken the day she earned her C D , or Companion Dog title. She was the first of my Dalmatians to earn this AKC title. I have had dogs most of my life. Before I started learning real obedience, I trained our family's pet dogs to have good manners and to do tricks. I began formal obedience training in the early 80s. I got serious about it and started training my Dalmatians for obedience titles in the early 90's. I have put obedience and Canine Good Citizen (CGC) titles on almost all my Dalmatians and even a few champions too. A few of years back, I applied for, and got my AKC certification to be a CGC evaluator. I am AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator #1650. I'm a member of my local and national breed clubs as well as a local dog-training club. I attend seminars each year to help improve my knowledge and skills as a dog trainer, breeder and handler. When I train people and their dogs, I really like everyone to have an enjoyable time. It is so much fun to watch all the students learn, grow closer to their dogs and become great working teams. During the last class of each training session, I ask my students to remember back to the first class of the session and appreciate the difference in the behavior of their dogs that are now happily sitting quietly beside them, instead of barking and pulling on their leashes as they did during their first night of class. I look forward to having you and your dog in my training classes. We'll have a great time and learn a lot while we're at it.

I love dogs!! Pure and simple. I first became interested in animal behavior while studying chimps. This led me to work with children, and finally dogs. I worked as a staff dog trainer and eventually as the Canine Manager at the East Bay SPCA from 2002-2007. Now I run a private dog training business, teaching group training classes through DogsNSuds. I continue to work with the public through the East Bay SPCA as well, and work as a temperament evaluator for Contra Costa County Animal Services and Friends of Fairmont Animal Shelter. I teach all levels of obedience, specializing in working with children as well as training adolescent dogs. I am a strong supporter of positive reinforcement for obedience as well as behavior modification. I am currently owned by a goofy pointer mix named Koobi and an energetic terrier named Taylor . I look forward to meeting you and your dog in class!
